From India To Japan

The travel bubble will allow stranded nationals, residents of Japan and foreign nationals with a valid visa to travel from India to the land of the rising sun. Of course, their trips will be subject to border measures and restrictions during the time of travel. The airlines have been asked to check for any travel or entry restrictions before booking a ticket or issuing a boarding pass to Indian citizens.

All stranded Indian citizens, those holding Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cards with a valid Japanese passport, and all foreigners (including diplomats) with a valid visa issued by an Indian mission in any category covered under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) guidelines can travel from Japan to India.

Apart from Japan, India has established air bubbles with several other countries. These include the USA, UK, France, Germany, Canada, the Maldives, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, and Nigeria. Very recently, India has also established travel bubbles with Iraq and Afghanistan.

Currently, India is negotiating on travel bubble deals with Italy, New Zealand, Australia, Israel, Kenya, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, and Thailand.

Hopefully, we will soon see more such travel bubbles for India.
