Who wouldn’t want to live like Her Majesty the Queen, right? Now, what if we told you that living the royal life may be cheaper than you think? For just INR 1,287 you can now live like the queen in a Buckingham Palace style holiday caravan. Deets inside! By Amitha Ameen
In a first-of-its-kind, a holiday caravan called The Royal Caravan has been designed to look just like the inside of Her Majesty’s official residence – The Buckingham Palace. The best part is that it costs only INR 1,287 per person per night. Royalty can come cheap, at least in this case.
The Royal Caravan features chandeliers in every room, gold-plated toilets, customised gold and velvet thrones (from where you can rule the people), a master bedroom featuring a four-poster bed with royal decorations, and, of course, for guests with corgis, a royal dog bed and gold-plated bowls, just like the real royal corgis would have it.
Located in Cayton Bay, Scarborough, the caravan was renovated for INR 971,1227 to incorporate the Buckingham style makeover and is operated by Parkdean Resorts that rents it out. The caravan has two bedrooms that can sleep four guests and is available for INR 15,440 for a three-night stay.
“Luxury comes in the form of this once-in-a-lifetime experience as the finery of Buckingham Palace comes to Cayton Bay Holiday Park. This extra-wide opulent static home will add a touch of glamour to your holiday like no other,” reads a statement on the website. For guests who are wondering how the experience may pan out, they can get a sneak-peek from the video that takes one on a tour with a woman dressed up as ‘Queen Liz’ and also features ‘Kate and Wills’ doing a cameo.
Like the website says, ”Take your holiday to the next level with a stay in the world’s first and only Royal Caravan.”
