We often turn to celebrities for fashion and style inspiration. But lately, several stars have been focussing on safari rides and more, giving us some major #travelgoals. And Ranthambore seems to be a favourite recently. By Anushka Goel

From Kiara Advani to Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt to even Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, new years getaways are one of the most cherished outings of the year. And lately, a lot of these celebs have been flying to Ranthambore to see the majestic royal Bengal tigers and the plethora of flora and fauna that is on offer here.

The most recent celeb to have visited Ranthambore is Akshay Kumar, who brought in his 21st anniversary with Twinkle Khanna at a property near the park. He posted videos and photos with his daughter Nitara and Twinkle, giving fans a glimpse into his January vacation. And at the end of 2021 and beginning of 2022, several celebrities also went tiger-spotting here, from Kiara Advani, Ananya Panday, Sidharth Malhotra and Ishaan Khatter, who posted vacation pictures from the national park here. What’s more, Ranbir-Alia and Deepika-Ranveer had brought in 2021 at Ranthambore, too!

So, what makes the destination so special? From ample tiger sightings to beautiful properties, Ranthambore has a lot to offer. The safaris in the delicious Rajasthan winters, as the sun shines warm, is a treat, and the quiet calm of the national park, combined with Rajasthan’s heritage, which is present all around, makes for a comfortable, experiential trip. The place offers almost an escape into nature, with experiences that help you unwind and take back home some beautiful memories with your loved ones.

So, it’s no wonder that the destination is fast becoming a favourite among people. And from experience, I can say that those (including me) who’ve visited the place have seen some beautiful tiger sightings, sometimes even spotting multiple beasts in one ride!

Apart from the safaris, there’s Dastkaar and Shilpgram for those looking for handmade clothes and crafts to take back home, which make for a great exploration opportunity. And in the time you’re not going on a safari, there’s a lot that the properties in these areas offer, from delectable cuisine to spas and poolside entertainment, and more.
