Lambasingi’s prime attraction is the Kothapally Waterfalls. Located at a distance of around 40km from Lambasingi, the enchanting waterfalls offer an idyllic setting to enjoy a picnic with your loved ones. The waterfall is surrounded by lush greenery and can be reached after climbing down a flight of around 100 steps. There are two bridges that serve as viewing decks to witness the sheer beauty of the waterfall. Being an offbeat spot that’s being developed into a tourist spot by the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation, the place doesn’t have many eateries. It’s advisable to pack your own food and travel essentials.

Any trip to Lambasingi would be incomplete without a trek to the Lambasingi View Point. Located at a short distance from the village bus stand, the vantage point can be reached after a challenging but rewarding hike. Most travellers arrive here to catch stunning sunrises.

Susan Garden

This gorgeous garden can be covered on your way to Lambasingi. Dotted with flowery plants in shades of yellow, the garden is also known as Amber Coloured Garden. Nature lovers would love its serene environs and the lovely sunset views.

Thajangi Reservoir

Another prominent place that has helped Lambasingi emerge as a tourist spot is the Thanjangi Reservoir. Encompassed by rugged hills and mist-clad green meadows, the reservoir offers blissful vibes. Avid birdwatchers must plan a visit to the Kondakarla Bird Sanctuary. The best way to explore the sanctuary is by taking a boat ride in the Kondakarla Ava Lake. The marshy wetland remains dotted with lotuses and offers great views. Commonly spotted birds here include Grey Herons, Red Whiskered Bulbul, Black Drongo, and Pheasant Tailed Jacana.

History buffs must include the twin Buddhist sites of Bojjannakonda and Lingalakonda in their itinerary. Constructed between the 4th and 9th centuries, the caves are perched atop adjacent hilltops. Beautifully carved statues of Lord Buddha are the pièce de résistance here. Excavated in 1906 by a British archaeologist, Bojjannakonda features 150 steep rock-cut steps that take you to the caves. Lingalakonga has over 250 rock-cut stupas.
