This dynamic capital of India is always a step ahead when it comes to surprising its visitors. It not only keeps you awake, it not only knocks you with some of the most energising events happening in the city but it also makes it a point to tickle the scaredy-cat in you. With a hefty of haunted places in Delhi, the horrifying curiosity only keeps escalating as you continue reading further. 

Delhi is a city that is coated with an ocean of promises of transforming dreams into reality. These haunted places in Delhi are spooky and nightmarish

For starters, the very view of a cemetery is more than enough to give chills down the spine and adding the aspect of a beheaded ghost, perfectly acts as a deadly cherry on top for boosting a panic attack. It does sound like a script straight out of a typical horror movie but this is the actual scene of the cemetery. Usually known as one of the most deathly haunted places in Delhi, it is widely believed that those who have witnessed the ghost carrying his dislocated head in his hand are no longer alive to narrate what exactly happened there and those who are breathing to date, are taken aback in a manner that they barely have the courage to even recall what they experienced then. People passing by the place can frequently hear ghostly cries and laughs from this scary haunted place in Delhi.

This dense forest spanning 10 kilometres, is surely a retreat for nature admirers and children during broad daylight. But it takes an entire 360-degree turn during moonlight. It becomes a true-blue nightmare for anybody stepping into the forest at night. The creepy older women in white and the horrifying laughs of the children might just chase you into the dense darkness. Random pushes, and sudden loss of ornaments, are only some of the several other things that people have talked about.

Although the Delhi Cantonment is considered one of the most secure areas of Delhi, it is doubtlessly not at all safe from electrifying existences. This place is ranked as the most haunted place in Delhi. A place that is both safe and haunted. That’s pretty much the irony here! Several people have said to have witnessed a scary woman draped in a white saree, requesting a lift. If anybody happened to not stop the car, she would chase it at the exact speed of the moving car.

Scariest of all the haunted places in Delhi, this Agrasen Ki Baoli is called to be home to legit demons. There was a time when this place was occupied by black magic and black magical water which aroused people to take their own lives by drowning. This 104 feet levelled step-well spreads a creepy ambience the more you step forward. It is said that you tend to feel the existence of some unseen beings around you.

There have been several stories about the existence of Jinns in this 14-century Fort. Although a hustle-free environment there, peaceful yet creepily peaceful, every Thursday, during the evening, there are gatherings of people where they try and please the Jinns, with a belief that they are still ruling this haunted place in Delhi. Many of these people have recalled incidents of being randomly thrashed and slapped along with an appearance of some sort of fragrance out of nowhere. This place is classified as so ghastly that it can easily fit into the box of the most haunted places in Delhi.

Cries of misery and blood-clotted screams can be overheard at this age-old monument. Quite a number of distinctive stories form the reasons behind this ghostly presence. One is the heinous killing of three princesses, and the other one is the lynching of freedom fighters by British rulers. Regardless of whatsoever narrations behind this, the random fall of temperature and spooky murmurs through the walls of this place are enough to give you chills down your spine.

It is frequently witnessed by innumerable passers-by that a spirit of a Britisher holding a vintage rifle walking down in this haunted place in Delhi. A lot of times you may even feel that you’re being chased or eyed on. A sudden drop in the mobile network, a sudden deadly stillness in the ambience, and a magnetic aroma captivate you. Everything that happens is so uninvited that it is way difficult to keep a track of what is even happening in this area.

Hauz Khas Village is considered one of the idealistic nightlife and party places in Delhi but surprisingly, it is also one of the prominent haunted places in Delhi. With a well-built establishment in the area, it maintains the old-school attraction of Delhi including the latest constructions in that area. The Chor Minar is the entire complex is one such sculpture that has been contemplated for years now. The walls of the upper section comprise holes and those very holes are said to be the heads of the thieves who were penalised back then. Now, it is said that the ghosts of the thieves terrify the area.
