Here’s a much-awaited update especially for all the travellers in and around Maharashtra, who have been problematically commuting from Nagpur to Pune. The same will be executed through a newly recommended expressway adjoining Pune to the Hinduhriday Samrat Balasaheb Thackeray Samruddhi Mahamarg, which spans over 701 kilometres.

Considering the uneasiness that travellers had been undergoing while journeying from Nagpur to Pune to date, the newly introduced Pune-Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Access Control Green Expressway near Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar will be linked to the Nagpur-Mumbai Samridhi Mahamarg.
The new alignment by the NHAI promises to cut down the travel time from Nagpur To Pune
The road has been decided to be set in motion for construction with the latest arrangement by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) of a 268 km expressway between Pune-Ahmednagar-Aurangabad, as declared by Nitin Gadkari in a series of tweets.

“This will make it possible to travel from Pune to Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad) in two and half hours and from Nagpur to Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad) in five and half hours through Samruddhi Mahamarg”, further stated by the Minister, as published by NDTV.
Travellers have to no longer travel for 16 hours to reach Pune from Nagpur
As a result of the absence of a well-built expressway along with the existence of patches, difficult roads and a good number of villages, it would take 14-16 hours to reach Pune from Nagpur. The highway will outset from the Pune-Bengaluru highway crossing with the launched ring road of Pune, and will eventually link to Aurangabad’s Samruddhi expressway.
