Not many had heard of this stunning beach until it got featured in a popular song that starred Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra. Flanked by swaying coconut trees, Aksa beach in Malad serves as a sought-after weekend getaway for youngsters. The beach has lovely cottages and resorts, making it a nice place to enjoy a fun staycation with your loved ones. If visiting in the monsoons, be warned about the quicksand and strong currents. Swimming is prohibited at the beach.

Juhu Beach

Perhaps the most iconic beach in Mumbai, Juhu beach is all about touristy delights. Enjoy camel rides, indulge in water sports, savour sumptuous street food, or simply play with the waves, there’s a lot to look forward to at Juhu Beach. Kids can have fun while trying their hands at shooting balloons and other games and activities available at the beach. If you are a fitness freak, enjoy a run at the beach. Thanks to the surreal sunsets that the beach offers, it is also popular among nature photographers. Any visit to this beach will be incomplete without devouring butter-soaked Pav Bhaaji, Bhelpuri, and Kala Khatta Gola.

Girgaon Chowpatty Beach

Another popular beach in Mumbai, Girgaon Beach is as touristy as Juhu Beach. An all-time favourite picnic spot for locals and tourists, the beach promises a gala time with many swings, balloon shooting shops, fortune tellers, street vendors, and amazing street food, of course. Sunsets are typically beautiful at Girgaon Beach. The fact that this beach shares proximity with Marine Drive makes it a favourite among couples, looking for a romantic outing.

One of the cleanest beaches in Mumbai, Versova Beach largely remains untrammelled by overcrowding. The 3 km-long beach offers amazing opportunities for nature photographers, who come here to capture the rare Olive Ridley turtles. Apart from soaking in the picturesque beauty and good vibes of the beach, you may also fancy a horse ride, shop for fish from the local Koli community, and enjoy cycling with your mains.

Kalamb Beach

Kalamb beach has to be one of the most underrated beaches in Mumbai. The black sand beach makes for a rejuvenating experience. If you wish to avoid large crowds, Kalamb is perfect for you. Even though it is a lesser-known beach, on offer here are camel and horse rides and food carts that serve mouthwatering Maharashtrian snacks. You can club your visit with Arnala beach, Navapur beach, and Rajodi beach.
