With ample homestays and hostels for the budget traveller, Jodhpur makes for one of the many workation destinations in Rajasthan where you can relax while you work, and soak in the views of the beautiful forts. The small city is close to Ajmer and makes for a great work-from-anywhere destination. The colourful vibrancy of the destination will draw you in, and the ambience will speak to the creative side of you. In your free time, visit the Brahma Temple, sit by the ghats and explore the markets. Be sure to buy some rosewater and gulkand, specialities of the region made from desi gulab, and over the weekend, visit Ajmer and explore the city, before you return home.

Alwar

The small city is known for housing the Alwar Fort and museum, and its location makes it ideal for a workation in Rajasthan. The city is not too small, so you’ll be assured of getting all facilities, and it isn’t too big, letting you catch a break from the usual city life. In your free time, sample some local cuisine and snacks and indulge in some milk cake, which the place is known for, and over the weekend, plan a trip to the Sariska forests to (hopefully) spot some tigers!

Bundi

Another one of the offbeat workation destinations in Rajasthan is Bundi, which is a small city near Kota. Spend time in the comfortable homestays here as you soak in the early summer sun, and over the weekend (or in your free time), explore the palaces and forts in the area.

Udaipur makes for a great travel destination, with its forts, palaces and of course, lakes. However, it features on our list of workation destinations in Rajasthan because of the stays available here for all budgets. The city has a lot to offer for those wanting to spend time after work hours, be it the ghats, sunset points, boat rides or cultural performances, along with ample opportunities for you to explore the city over the weekend. What’s more, you can make a trip to Kumbhalgarh or Chittorgarh over the weekend to explore the forts there, too, and sample some delicious food by the lake!

Mandawa

The small town, located in the Jhunjhunu district in Rajasthan, makes for a great work from anywhere destination. The town has featured in movies such as PK and has places such as its many havelis and forts that you can explore in your free time. The town will give you the feel of Rajasthan and is close to other places such as Nawalgarh, which also make for great day trips from here.

Jaisalmer

Another beautiful place, Jaisalmer makes for one of the most fun workation destinations in Rajasthan due to its beauty, the weather around this time of the year and more. Free time should be spent exploring places such as the Jaisalmer fort and Gadisar Lake, while a night camping trip amid the sand dunes will add to the charm of visiting the desert state.
