Hidimba Temple

Among the most popular tourist attractions in Manali is Hadimba (or Hidimba) temple. The temple is dedicated to Hidimba Devi, Bheem’s (one of the five Pandava brothers) wife. Built by Raja Bahadur Singh in 1553, the temple is a four-storeyed structure in Van Vihar, a dense forest.
What makes the temple different is its architecture. The structure is built unlike traditional Hindu temples, and has almost a home-like feel to it. Located on the premises is also a shrine dedicated to Ghatotkach, the son of Hidimba and Bheem.
Rohtang Pass

Among the best places to visit when in Manali is Rohtang Pass. The place, a few kilometres away from the main city of Manali, is mostly surrounded by snow, and makes for plenty of fun activities such as snowboarding and biking.
The route to Rohtang Pass is mostly covered with inches of thick snow, and make you feel like you’re in wonderland, or maybe a movie, like Jab We Met, portions of which were shot here!

Vashishtha Temple

Named after Rishi Vashishtha, the village of Vashisht houses the temple dedicated to the sage. Legend suggests that he was depressed upon learning about the death of his children at the hands of Guru Vishwakarma, and this village is the place he started a new life at. The temple, said to be over 4,000 years old, is a stunning structure with decorated wooden carvings and antique paintings and figures.
