While the concept has been running across Madhya Pradesh, it has become all the more relevant as the world struggles to strike a balance between resuming their life while ensuring safety. Caravan travel promises far less contact with people other than those in your group as well as safety and isolation to ensure social distancing.
The caravan service will resume in the state from June 8, just as the MP government allows the reopening of hotels and restaurants. The tourism department on its official Instagram handle informed tourists that they can directly book the caravan by calling a toll-free number.

The seating capacity of the home on wheels is of 12 people at a time, while eight campers can sleep comfortably in it. The facilities include an air conditioner, microwave, cooking stove, WiFi, and a fridge, giving the entire experience a homely yet luxurious vibe. The caravan travel option is perfect for large groups of holidaymakers, both families and friends.
States across India are looking to come up with similar novel ideas to revive their tourism industry. It is a key sector on which the livelihood of millions of people across the country depends. Solutions such as this are not only apt for the times, but also acknowledge and accept the future of travel in the ‘new normal’.
