Every year, during autumn (August-October), you can travel to Namaqualand to experience the elegance of unspoiled nature. Transformation of this semi-arid desert area to chromatic paradise is something worth your vacation to the Northern Cape. Destinations In Namaqualand Region

Springkok

This is the best town of Namaqualand if you want to experience the best of Flora and Fauna. Goegap Nature Reserve and Hester Malan wild flower garden are some of the main attractions you wouldn’t want to miss out — whether you’re staying for a few days or just passing through. The town offers the best of leisure stays, easily reached and accessed from Cape Town and Namibia.

Hondeklip Bay

Also known as Honeklipbaai, the bay is 540 km away from Cape Town. The sea-side town is a perfect destination to escape from hustle of city life. Caracal eco route, Hondeklipbaai beach and Hondeklipbaai lighthouse are some main attractions for this destination where you can simply admire nature.

Garies

Also known as the chief town of Namaqualand district, this town is situated in the middle of Cape Town and Namibia, a route which is less known but you wouldn’t want to miss out on an opportunity to explore Skilpad Wild Flower Reserve, hiking over silver sand trails.

Alexander Bay

The town is situated on the west coast of South Africa sharing its border with Namibia. The Bay is known for its famous diamond market ‘Diamond Coast’ and for organising diamond tours as the main attraction for what is known to be the driest town in South Africa. The sea-side town is also famous for its Alexandra beach.

Fly to Cape Town International Airport and take a road route of approximately 500 km.
