Pandas are basically black and white balls of absolute happiness and warmth rolled into one. Sadly, they can’t be found falling off branches, sleeping in odd places, or just being their absolute hyper-cute selves everywhere. So, we hunted down these four places in China where you can just sit back and watch their antiques for hours! The best part? You will be contributing significantly towards their conservation efforts when you visit them. By Shubhanjana Das
The Duijangyan Panda Base has 20 pandas in total and is situated in Sichuan Province of China. It houses giant pandas and opened its gates to visitors on June 2013 for their nursing and conservation. The base is divided into four different viewing gardens and six regions according to their functions. If you’re only visiting for a few hours, make sure it’s in the morning for it is then that these cuties play in the panda playground. What’s better than just visiting these cuddly creatures? Being their keeper for a day, which comes with endless cuddles, petting, and being petted back! You get to wake them up, clean their enclosures, prepare their meals and snacks, and have an interactive experience than no other panda sanctuary offers.
Other than being the home of the giant panda, the Wolong Panda Research center also shelters Sichuan province’s rarest plant and animal in its large but complex natural conditions. There are more than 100 pandas in Wolong where you can indulge in a multi-day keeper programme for what is said to be the best babysitting job in the world! Before you already book your tickets to Sichuan, let us tell you that Wolong also has a panda kindergarten, which is essentially the kingdom of cute!

He so cute, right? I with my group visit the Bifengxia Giant Panda Base（碧峰峡大熊猫基地）. China Conservation and Research Centre for the Giant Panda (CCRCGP) Bifengxia Base, Bifengxia Giant Panda Base for short (or Green Peak Valley) has dense forest , numerous waterfalls and breathtaking scenery that make a visit very pleasant. The best time to visit is in the morning, especially during feeding time between 8:30 and 10:00. After that, it's likely that the pandas will be indulging in their favorite pastime: sleeping! The trees and bamboos are tall and can shade you from the summer heat. You may feel cool when walking around in the morning. It's Easy to Find the Cute Pandas. ???????????? Set inside a valley dotted with waterfalls, the Bifengxia Giant Panda Base is a must-visit if you’re on a panda-spotting tour in China. The Woolong Panda research center was on the receiving end of massive damages after the 2008 earthquake, after which BFX was built as an outpost to provide the pandas a safe haven. The 400-hectare area is divided into six regions for feeding, breeding, scientific research, office, bamboo base and living. According to the 2012 data, there are more than 300 wild pandas and 70 captive pandas in BFX. They didn’t miss out on a panda kindergarten either for people to see them being fed and nursed by their keepers as they try and climb branches oh-so adorably!
The base at Chengdu is replicated in a way as to mirror the natural habitat of the giant panda. It is a significant research center for rare wildlife conservation in China and is even regarded with a lot of importance worldwide. The six giant pandas rescued in 1987 are now the largest breeding population of pandas. There are no keeper or volunteering programmes here but you sure can click pictures with one-year-old baby pandas!
