Here’s why you should take a cue from Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas and consider Oman as your next holiday spot. By Gayatri Moodliar
After a whirlwind engagement and royal-esque marriage at the Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas set the bar even higher with their honeymoon in Oman and gave a good excuse to couples to look for more offbeat honeymoon locations.
They reportedly lodged themselves at Six Senses Zighy Bay, which offers private villas in northern Musandam Peninsula and complete serenity. Whether you’re planning your honeymoon or just looking for reasons to go to Oman, we’ve got five of them right here:

Known as the Green Mountain, this spot is especially famous for its wide plateau close to summit. Fans of adventure and nature can take in the heaps of trails available, and also enjoy a climate worth escaping to. About two hours away from Muscat, the view from the top is worth the drive.
Recently opened to tourists, Masirah Island can be considered a deserted island. But don’t let that scare you; the shipwrecks add to the charm. Once a military base for the British, the island is one of the best places to watch the loggerhead sea turtles, and its waters also attract the humpback whales. There are numerous ferries that will take you to and from the island.
One of the oldest ports in Oman, Sur is a quaint town that offers a trip to a different era. Perfect for a day trip, it even showcases the boat-making process at the Dhow Shipyard Factory, balancing learning and leisure.
Banana plantations galore, the scenery clubbed with the weather makes one of Oman’s largest cities a must-visit for any prospective travellers.

We drove through the Sharqiya Sands not knowing what to expect. We hadn't really done a lot of research before visiting the desert, so it was all a complete surprise to us! . Ps. Jalan di gurun berbukit2 gini sensasinya kaya summit Semeru tp ini versi flat, ga manjat2 amat. Tapi capeknya nyaris samaaa, soalnya pasirnya dalem banget jadi ngangkat kakinya capek :” jalan dari punggungan satu ke punggungan lain jg berasaaa bgt! Ga semudah yang dibayangin ???? . Langsung ngibrit lari kita ????.
Sand dunes, camel rides, endless landscape—Wahiba Sands offers a panoramic view of utter serenity. The stargazing that comes with the terrain helps make the honeymoon a honeymoon.
