The world’s leading luxury travel event portfolio ILTM Cannes marked its 20th edition from December 6, 2021 to December 9, 2021. Hosted at The Palais des Festivals et des Congrès de Cannes, the event blossomed with over 1,300 luxury travel suppliers from across 73 countries assembling for dedicated one-on-one meetings—totalling over 50,000—as well as a complete programme of networking activities.
ILTM Cannes 2021 brought together the whole spectrum of luxury travel experiences—from hidden gems to the industry’s most famous and established brands, catalysing professionals and businesses to develop and renew lucrative relationships while also discovering new business prospects. “We are extremely proud of the role ILTM 2021 has played in offering the global luxury travel industry the live event so urgently needed,” said Alison Gilmore, ILTM Portfolio Director. Gilmore further adds that, “the love of travel is still as real as it ever was—so many reunions, so many introductions and so many real human connections with so much emotion.”
What went down at ILTM Cannes 2021?
Over 1,300 luxury travel brands, experiences, destinations, and suppliers spent a week re-establishing and renewing relationships with international travel planners, curators, and agencies; and taking advantage of pre-scheduled, one-on-one meetings. “This has been the most powerful ILTM since its formation—a true impetus for our whole sector to forge forward and work together toward sustained success,” said Jack Ezon, founder of EMBARK Beyond.
ILTM Cannes 2021 was a successful live reunion for industry leaders from around the world, as well as a catalyst for new business ties in luxury travel, thanks to high-level safety procedures. “ILTM allowed us to reconnect with the world – each appointment, working lunch, and dinner has been defined by a feeling of pure joy. Huge kudos to ILTM for the planning and logistics to ensure that everyone felt safe and secure throughout,” said Haisley Smith of Internova Travel Group.
ILTM Cannes 2021 also introduced select suppliers to privileged buyers through bespoke appointment programmes and networking sessions. This helped open the doors to an established, global community of luxury travel business in a time-efficient style.
