Thanks to the many movies and literature that are keeping us sane during this lockdown by allowing us to dream escape to some of our favourite destinations. Over the years this movie has risen to the status of a cult classic. It redefines the idea of friendship and pumps you up with newfound travel goals. Watch this movie to come across some of the iconic tourist spots in Sydney. 2. Finding Nemo – Hotstar
This movie has motivated thousands for a trip to the Great Barrier Reef, as it’s the same location that has inspired this heart-winning movie. It follows the story of a clownfish Marlin, who loses his son, Nemo. It’s the journey of finding him that takes the viewers on an adventure that begins from the Reef of the coast of Queensland and goes all the way to Sydney Harbour.
3. Lion – Netflix
Lion is a tale of longing, home, and family that will inspire you for a trip to Tasmania. A heart-wrenching story and impeccable performances by the actors perfectly complement the mesmerising locations. Think Mount Wellington, the winding coastline along Cape Huay and the isthmus of Bruny Island. Also, the historic Marion Bay! This movie beautifully presents Tasmania while navigating you through its soulful tale.
4. Salaam Namaste – Amazon Prime
This Bollywood movie depicts the story of protagonists Amber and Nick while taking you through landmark locations across Melbourne. A delightful and fun watch, Salaam Namaste portrays Melbourne city, Great Ocean Road, and other gorgeous Victorian surroundings. More importantly, it beautifully encapsulates the vibe and spirit of the city. Watch this movie and we’re convinced you’ll be looking forward for a trip to the city.
5. Shaadi Ke Side Effects – Hotstar
Singles, new couples, soon-to-be-married duos, or already married doves, no matter which category you fall under, if you wish to understand the idea of love and marriage, this one’s a must watch for you. What’s even better is the movie takes you on a romantic journey through Queensland. Complete with scenic drives, pristine beaches, exciting nightlife and much more, if you’re a hopeless romantic, watching this movie will have you jumping with butterflies in your stomach. Oh, and there’s some stunning visuals of the Gold Coast, too.
