Floriculture Director Farooq Ahmad Rather, recently announced that the Tulip show in 2021, will witness around 1.5 million tulip bulbs of 62 varieties in the garden. And, out of the total bulbs at Asia’s largest tulip garden in Srinagar, over 5.3 lakh tulip bulbs will be imported.
Moreover, in a meeting held with Commissioner/Secretary Floriculture, Gardens & Parks, (FG&P) Department, Sheikh Fayaz Ahmad, factors such as maintenance, commercial aspects, development of the existing parks, gardens, and the heritage Mughal gardens in the various districts in Kashmir, were also discussed. Hence, proving that this year’s no-show owing to COVID-19 didn’t dampen the spirits of organisers for next year’s festival.
