Ever since travel restrictions have been witnessing steady ease, the island nation of Maldives has been busy hosting a string of celebrities and travellers alike at the numerous luxurious resorts on the island. The demand to travel to the beach paradise is so high that even Indian budget airline carrier Indigo announced twice a week flights from Mumbai to the Maldives.

Katrina Kaif who recently celebrated the one-year anniversary of her cosmetics brand Kay Beauty is the latest celebrity to get away to the island nation. The actress is in the Maldives for a shooting schedule. She took to her Instagram page to share a photo of her sporting a rainbow-striped one-piece swimsuit with pink shorts and tousled hair.

“So amzinggg to be in the Maldives ???????? for shoot ???????????? #lovemyjob #grateful,” read the caption under the photo where the actor looked absolutely radiant against azure blue waters and clear skies. Although the exact location in the Maldives was not revealed, the photo garnered thousands of likes within just hours of being uploaded and even received comments from fellow actors like Alia Bhatt and Fatima Sana Shaikh.

The Maldives reopened to tourists after being shut-off completely for more than half the year, thanks to the pandemic. Currently, those arriving at the island nation must present a COVID-19 negative test report, taken not more than 72 hours prior to departure.
