If you are returning to or visiting Egypt for the first time, get ready to enjoy the iconic Pyramids of Giza like never before. Known to be the world’s tallest pyramid, the 4,500-year-old pyramids are all set to feature a new cafe, restaurant, and lounge as part of a major revamp initiative that is currently underway in Cairo’s most iconic attraction.
Known to be the last surviving wonder of the ancient world, the new spaces will offer up-close and unique views of the landmarks and will be the closest cafes to the pyramids. Called ‘9 Pyramids Lounge‘, these new spaces will be located on the southern end of the complex and will offer the perfect ambience to retreat to after an exciting tour around the pyramids.

Along with this new lounge area, there are a handful of other new amenities that are being developed at the Pyramids of Giza. A new visitor centre, public toilets, photo booths, cinema, food trucks, site-wide signage, and most importantly, free Wi-Fi are some of the other things that can soon be expected to start operations. Additionally, people can purchase tickets online through an app and will have access to a hop-on-hop-off bus service within the area as well.

While the restaurant is all set to open within a few days, the larger renovation plan has a budget of around INR 1,882,506,495. “The lounge came to be because the plateau desperately needed an unmissable dining experience,” said Ashraf Halim, CEO of Orascom Pyramids Entertainment (as reported on Scene eats.com).
