Apple has done it again! The tech giant has come up with a new attention-grabbing and a first-of-its-kind floating apple store in Singapore. Pretty cool, isn’t it? But that’s not all, the giant orb-like structure glows in the dark too. By Amitha Ameen
Named Apple Marina Bay Sands, the new floating apple store will be a part of the popular Marina Bay Sands resort. The state-of-the-art store resembling a big round ball is the world’s first Apple store in the world that is a floating store.
Another noteworthy element of the new store is the bright red logo that features at the front, as opposed to the usual white apple logo that we have all come to love over the years. The floating apple store was previously a nightclub called Avalon, part of the luxurious resort.
“We will soon open the doors to our new store by the Bay. Apple Marina Bay Sands will be at the heart of creativity, a place we’ve made for you to capture your ideas and passions. It will be a space for you to explore, connect and create something new. We can’t wait to see where your imagination takes you,” reads a statement on the brand’s online page for the store.
During the day, the floating apple store resembles a giant metal orb and can easily pass off like a spaceship, but in the night the round ball comes alive with vibrant colours that glisten against the water.
This new floating store is Apple’s third in Singapore and 512th retail shop globally. The company is yet to release photos of the inside as well as announce an opening date for this one-of-a-kind store.
