If you are a resident of Belgium, then boy, do we have some good news for you! The Belgium government has announced that it will be providing free 10-trip rail passes to those who are interested to travel, as the lockdown gradually ends in the country.

Belgium began its lockdown-easing measures on June 8, after being under lockdown for three months to curb the outbreak of the virus. As the country has entered its third phase of lockdown, most businesses including the domestic travel segment are starting to reopen with necessary precautions in place.

Belgium is offering its residents free train rides as a way of kickstarting the travel industry and encouraging locals to embrace domestic tourism. The passes which are valid from July to December 2020 can be availed anywhere within the country.

With travel restrictions on tourists within parts of Europe having been lifted on June 15 and many other countries around the world also slowly reopening their businesses, nations are coming up with innovative and sustainable ways to promote domestic tourism for their people, most of who are looking for safe and secure ways to resume their travel plans.
