Even with the current situation, the town is thriving with people coming to enjoy the beautifully lit town at night or the picturesque nature, nearby. At Le Tour, a spot near Chamonix, even though the option of skiing is currently closed to most, there remains the experience of hiking wearing snow-shoes. The friendly guides take you up to stunning points, through the woods and high enough to be able to spot the local glacier, The Glacier de Bossons.

The Mont Blanc Express is the train system that operates through the valley, providing comfortable and stunning journeys. It offers glimpses of small towns and spectacular stretches of evergreen forests that run between each station. One of the last stops is in Martigny, a small village in Switzerland. Martigny is a reclusive, peaceful spot, quiet and free of distractions. Large stretches of untouched snow are everywhere, creating a sense of pure tranquillity.
