Zoji La Pass, India

Located on the NH1 between Srinagar and Leh, this road has been quite the spot for thrill seekers and nature lovers. Surrounded by the Himalayas and at an elevation of 11,575ft, this road is as deadly as it is beautiful.

Transfagarasan Highway, Romania

Connecting Transsylvania with Muntenia, this road runs through the Fagaras mountains. The Transfagarasan rises to a height of 2134 meters and has sharp hairpin turns, a challenge for every driver. The maximum allowed speed is 40km/h. The road is often closed from October till June due to snow.

Guoliang Tunnel, China

It’s called, “the road that does not forgive mistakes”. It is carved on the side and also goes through the Taihang Mountains. It was constructed with the help of hammers and chisels only, and is 1.2 kilometers long.

This road was built by the villagers on the Nanga Parbat mountain around a 100 years ago and it hasn’t been repaired since. It’s extremely narrow with no guard rails and only one vehicle can pass at a time. An amateur driver will never survive this road.

Stelvio Pass, Italy
