Another unbelievable natural wonder of India is the Magnetic Hill, the spot where gravity literally takes a backseat. Positioned at a distance of nearly 30 km from Leh, the Magnetic Hill is highlighted by a yellow signboard that states “The Phenomenon That Defies Gravity”. It even asks you to park your vehicles in the spot encircled by a white point on the road, which is labelled as the Magnetic Road. When parked at the marked spot, vehicles start moving forward at a speed of close to 20km/h. How intriguing is that! Magnetic Hill exists on the Leh-Kargil-Srinagar National Highway in the Trans-Himalayan region.

Known to be the most expansive waterfall in India, this mystical location is truly one of the unique natural wonders of India. The Chitrakote waterfall is famously regarded as the “Niagara of India”, for its extensive broadness. Positioned in the western section of Jagdalpur in the Bastar region of Chhattisgarh, this waterfall arises from the Indravati river. Chitrakote waterfall is placed at a towering height of close to 30 metres with a breadth of 985 feet. Especially during monsoons, you can behold the falls at their full greatness.

Also known as the “Double-Decker Living Root Bridge”, the very existence of Living Root Bridges in Meghalaya is no less than an unimaginable stunner. These marvellous structures have flawlessly developed over decades and are among the most famous attractions in Meghalaya. This heavenly natural wonder of India is made up of knotted dense roots that offer awesome grip to the structure and shape it well to occupy 50 or beyond people on its base. They are amazingly maintained by professional Jaintia and Khasi tribes who have cultivated the art of flourishing root bridges over elevated banks of streams overflowing through the thick forests of Meghalaya.

Gifted with the colourful and uncommon Himalayan flora, the Valley of Flowers is truly a garland of nature, quietly cuddled in the Western Himalayan district of Uttarakhand. The trek of the Valley of flowers passes through dense forests, together with the Pushpawati river. One can arrive at this place by overpassing several bridges, waterfalls and glaciers on the way. Famously identified as ‘the rock which gravity forgot’ this enormous granite boulder happens to be another unique natural wonder of India. Mahabalipuram is a fascinating destination in India which possesses this out-of-the-world attraction. Weighing close to 250 tonnes and placed at a height of 6 meters and breadth of 5 meters, this rock has been planted on the peak of a slope for beyond 1200 years! Planted in Andhra Pradesh’s Kurnool region, Belum Caves are one of the longest and largest caves in India for tourists to tirelessly explore. These are the second largest caves in India after the Krem Liat Prah in Meghalaya and are popular for their uncommon frameworks like stalagmite and stalactite frameworks. The Rann of Kutch is a salt swampy field in the Thar Desert in western Gujarat’s Kachchh region. It is planted between Gujarat in India and the Sindh district in Pakistan. It comprises close to 30,000 sq. km of land which counts The Little Rann of Kachchh, Banni grassland, and the Great Rann of Kachchh. The Rann of Kutch is widely popular for its white salty desert sand and is prestigiously the largest salt desert in the world.
