SpiceJet to start new domestic flights

According to the latest news reports, leading airline SpiceJet is launching 26 new domestic flights. The airline will deploy its Boeing 737 and Q400 aircraft on these routes.

SpiceJet will also start new flights from Nashik to Hyderabad and Delhi to Khajuraho as part of the UDAN Scheme. The airline has witnessed high occupancy rates over the last few months. Even though several incidents of technical malfunctioning in SpiceJet flights have come to the light, the airline has managed to achieve high occupancy in July. It recorded a passenger load factor (PLF) greater than 80 percent between July 1 and July 11.

According to SpiceJet officials, the launch of new domestic flights on important routes will help the airline strengthen its status as the country’s most preferred airline for flyers.

“Our new UDAN flights are a testimony to our commitment to connect the unconnected parts of the country and cater to rising passenger demand across the country. The new and additional flights have been carefully added keeping passenger convenience in mind and providing them with multiple travel options,” Business Today quoted Shilpa Bhatia, Chief Commercial Officer, SpiceJet as saying.

Bookings can be made on SpiceJet’s mobile app and website.
