While the world is getting back on its feet while trying to get rid of COVID-19, many establishments are coming up with ingenious ways to avoid community transmission while ripening their businesses.
Taking this thought a step further, a company in Paris is all set to introduce a floating movie theatre for movie enthusiasts from next week onwards. Titled Le Cinéma sur l’Eau” (the cinema on the water), the event will allow people to watch movie screenings from socially distant boats on the River Seine (as reported on Times Now News). Straight out of a movie, right?

The event, a one-of-a-kind in Paris will be held on July 18, to celebrate the start of Paris Plages, an annual programme where artificial beaches are created along River Seine in the centre of Paris, every summer.
Each of the 38 electric boats that will be available for this unique experience will allow two to eight people each, and authorities will ensure that social distancing is maintained aboard the boat as well by confirming that those on each boat are family or friends.

Along with those on the river, deckchairs will be placed on land for 150 more people to enjoy the screening, which will show Gilles Lellouche’s 2018 film Le Grand Bain, a French comedy-drama. Meanwhile, France had allowed its theatres to reopen in late June and operate at 50 per cent capacity, after being closed down for months due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
