1. Olympic Bob Run
Enjoy an incomparable adrenaline rush while riding a bobsleigh down The Olympic Bob Run track at St. Moritz-Celerina. Apart from priding itself in being the oldest bobsleigh track in the world, it is also the only bob run that is naturally refrigerated and built from scratch every year. Very recently, Bollywood heartthrob Ranveer Singh enjoyed a once-in-a-lifetime, 75-second thrill ride while thundering down the St. Moritz-Celerina bob run on a passenger ride. It is here, where he became a certified speedster.
2. Muottas Muragl
Overlooking the Engadin mountains and the frozen St Moritz Lake, it is definitely one most beautiful vantage point. Sunsets from here are a sight to behold. A funicular railway takes you through the 700-meter scenic climb from Punt Muragl up to Muottas Muragl. Wintertime in the region sees sledgers, snowshoe hikers and winter lovers arriving and turning the region into a winter playground. For delicious food, head to the rustic-styled Panoramic Restaurant Muottas Muragl, which will treat you scenic views along with delicious cuisine. For all the adventure junkies, riding the mother of all Toboggan Runs at the Muottas Muragl is a must-do activity. With 20 rapid curves and a vertical drop of 718 metres, that’s over 4.2 kilometres, that takes you through dense pine forests, it is the fastest toboggan run in all of Switzerland.
3. Cresta Run
One of the most thrilling activities in St. Moritz, the Cresta Run is not for the faint-hearted. The passenger rides solo and goes down in a lying position at an average speed of 60 mph with your face just inches away from the icy surface. Talk about thrilling, right? During the ride everything is blurry, and you can just feel the vibration. But the hard part comes when you are reaching the finish line at 90 km/h and need to stop.
4. Hop aboard the Glacier Express!
Dubbed to be the world’s slowest express train, the Glacier Express from St. Moritz to Zermatt is one of the most scenic train journeys in Switzerland. The biggest highlight of the Glacier Express is its huge panoramic windows that offer unobstructed and breathtaking views of Switzerland’s picturesque landscape. Passing through spectacular bridges and several tunnels, this train journey is an experience in itself. 5. Lake St. Moritz
