With December around the corner, a lot of us are already thinking about our year-end getaways. If you too have hot chocolate, royalty, and sweater weather on your mind, then you are in for a treat. As a part of the country’s already existing air bubble with the United Kingdom, Britain’s premier carrier Virgin Atlantic has announced the launch of flight services from India to Manchester, from December 20 onwards.

“We’re delighted to announce the launch of our new services to Delhi and Mumbai from Manchester. We will be flying three times per week to Mumbai from December and twice weekly to Delhi from January, opening up 1,30,000 more seats between Manchester and India. On sale 20 October,” the airline tweeted.

Moreover, these services will function side-by-side with the airline’s already existing flights from Mumbai and Delhi to London’s Heathrow. The new routes will see the Virgin Atlantic’s newest and most fuel-efficient Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

“We’re delighted to launch new flying from our home in the north in Manchester. India boasts the largest foreign-born population in the UK and we’re anticipating that post Covid-19, the demand to travel home to visit loved ones will increase. Following the relaunch of services from Heathrow to Mumbai and Delhi in September 2020, these new services from Manchester represent our continued investment in India. Both Mumbai and Delhi are popular year-round destinations, and we look forward to welcoming travellers from the North and Midlands onboard as demand for leisure and business travel gradually increases to the region,” Virgin Atlantic quoted its Chief Commercial Officer, Juha Jarvinen, as saying, in a press release.

Flights from London’s Heathrow to Islamabad and Lahore will launch on December 12 and December 13,” the release further mentioned.
