Last week, Mumbai’s Royal Western Indian Turf Club (RWITC) organised a fun-filled food festival known as ‘This Crazy Food Festival,’ brought to Mumbaikars in association with A La Carte Company. This food carnival spoilt people silly with lip-smacking delicacies, innovative cocktails, live music performances, entertainment and experience zones and more. If this is not the perfect way to wind up a year, we don’t know what is!
The founders, Rekha Pamani-Gulati and Nisha Sareen, were motivated to start this food fiesta in Mumbai, as they thought the city (populated with foodies) lacked food fests that offered 360-degrees, holistic experiences.
‘This Crazy Food Festival’ was a great opportunity for food lovers to indulge in Mumbai’s evolving culinary scene. People sipped, sampled and savoured scrumptious food from some of Mumbai’s most famous restaurants such as The Clearing House, XICO, Foo—Asian Tapas and, Sun and Moon Korean Restaurant. Moreover, people also indulged in dishes made with love by home chefs. For desserts, there was an abundance of goodies from the Sweetish House Mafia and Debbie’s Kitchen.
Additionally, there were dance classes and sports activities that kept the crowd entertained. Saxophone artist Tanique Fossa, Kiran And The Impresarios, and an Afro-Brazilian martial art performance were some of the major highlights of the carnival.
We can’t wait for next year’s edition!
