Ask anyone and they will tell you what an absolutely beautiful movie Kai Po Che is. Set in the former capital of Gujarat, Ahmedabad, the movie revolves around three friends portrayed by Sushant Singh Rajput, Amit Sadhu and Rajkummar Rao. The film is based on Indian writer Chetan Bhagat’s 2008 novel The 3 Mistakes Of My Life. This friendship drama follows the three friends as they try to start a cricket academy together while dealing with the uncertainties and the many hurdles that life throws their way.

Currently trending on Netflix’s Top 10 list, the sequel to The Kissing Booth is nothing short of entertaining. While we were already hooked in the first part, the recently released part two has us admiring the relationship between Elle and Lee. Some would argue that this is, in fact, the best part about the movie. This rom-com phenomenon has taught us a few iconic friendship rules, which you and your bestie can check off while binge watching this on Friendship Day.

Three friends take a vacation in Spain and have one of the greatest experiences of their lives. Sound’s wonderful, right? This movie quite possibly is the perfect salute to friendship that is beautifully showcased through the cross-country road trip undertaken by the lead characters — Hrithik Roshan, Abhay Deol and Farhan Akhtar. The movie serves as a reminder that friendship doesn’t judge you based on your background, personality, or bank balance. The movie is a great reminder to living life king-size with your friends.

This cult classic is probably the ultimate friendship movie that you must watch with your friends. Who doesn’t love a good 80’s flick that has a plot that is way ahead of its times? This coming-of-age teen drama checks all the right boxes when it comes to friendships and is the best example that friends sometimes come from the most unexpected corners.

5. The Two Popes

This Golden Globe nominee (need we say more?) may seem like an unlikely fit on this list. But trust us when we say this, it is a must-watch, especially for those who love a strong storyline. Based on a true story, the movie focuses on the real friendship between Pope Benedict XVI and Pope Francis, portrayed in a meaningful and witty manner.
