These Spotify Playlists Will Guide You Through NY, Paris, London & Milan

While writing ‘California’, Joni Mitchell gave away some harsh truths about travelling. But, we’re sure she didn’t have Spotify playlists to her rescue back then. But we do, right? So, instead of feeling overwhelmed by the magnanimity of big cities around the world, it’s a great idea to have the right music to guide you through the initial nervousness before you break free and start seeing the world without any inhibitions and hindrances. We have for you the absolute best playlists, dug out from Spotify, to guide you through New York, Paris, London, and Milan. Take over the world, one city at a time! By Shubhanjana Das

1. New York City Baby by Camiguinjoan

How can you not like a playlist that starts off with Theme from New York by Frank Sinatra and is soon followed by Empire State of Mind, Cheap Thrills, some Rihanna, Shakira, and Miley Cyrus! Here’s to America, here’s to the crazy magic that NYC is! P.S. We truly hope your adrenaline capacity is high for New York is anything but dull and ordinary.

2. Souvenirs by Spotify

The best way to discover and know the true Paris? Stroll through its streets. The winding alleys, the cute cafes, the small shops, its museums, its parks… Even without an itinerary Paris is splendid and may we say, life changing. The Souvenirs playlist by Spotify starts out with Les Champs Elysees by Joe Dasin, follows it up with some Edith Piaf, Francois Hardy, and Jacques Dutronc, among other such extraordinary artists to set the absolute best mood for the longest of strolls through the city of love, Paris.

3. Last Train to London and London Calling

Hey, London is a big city! How could we leave you with just one playlist, right? Tune into Last train to London by Sebastian Morales and London Calling by Lucas Juarez to accompany you in the tube, on the sideways, in the museums, at the parks, on the pavements of churches, ogling at the Big Ben… No matter what London serves you, these playlists will make sure you can dance to its rhythm.

4. 72 Hours in Milan

We like to call Milan, ‘The City Exquisite’. Why? One look at this city and you’ll know exactly why. The Italian romance is filled to the brim in each of Milan’s streets, its shopping arcades, art museums, churches, and of course, the classic Milanese cafes. Can anybody ever get enough of the Italian charm? We don’t think so! This playlist will set you in the mood for the absolute bomb of a party that your Milan experience will be through and through before you even step out of your hotel! Make sure you can keep up!
